Welcome! Although our site is new, it is a labor of love that has been over 38 years in the making. Thirty-eight years ago, we made our first trip to Walt Disney World. Our corner room at the Contemporary faced the Magic Kingdom charming us with views of the sleek monorails gliding by with Cinderella Castle and the Seven Seas Lagoon in the background. The landscape was punctuated with the bursts of fireworks and the bellow of the ferries’ horns. Our second trip landed us at the totally transporting Polynesian Village Resort as it was called then. Even though we had floods in both rooms on our first two trips, we have been enchanted with the Walt Disney World Resort ever since. The floods proved to be good omens rather than negative harbingers of things to come. From that first trip in 1975, we were hooked! We have visited the WDW resort at least four times a year for the last 38 years. In the past five years, we have averaged over 50 nights a year at an onsite hotel. In previous years, our average was closer to 30 nights a year. We have stayed at every resort on property, including the Swan and Dolphin resorts and the hotels on Hotel Plaza Boulevard. It will help to know that we live a mere 238 miles away in south Florida, a three hour car ride to the Mouse!

Our site is dedicated to the discussion, review, and celebration of the many dining, lodging, and recreational options at the Walt Disney World Resort. Book reviews and trivia games will be thrown in for fun. A number of incredible sites already exist with threaded discussions, up to date menus, and the latest rumors and news. Among those are wdwmagic.com and allears.net. The podcasts of WDWRadio and Touring Plans are also wonderful sources of information and inspiration. People like Len Testa, Jim Hill, Deb Willis, and Jack Spence have paved the way for our foray into cyberspace. We will not attempt to reinvent the proverbial wheel. Instead, we offer our heart-felt opinions and experiences from the perspectives of a 40-something year old man, a 15 year old girl who was weened on Disney, and a 60-something year old grandmother. We look forward to your comments and questions. Enjoy!
